Mariposa Kids #GivingTuesday

Mariposa Kids is a childcare nonprofit located in the historically and culturally rich Mission District of San Francisco. As carers, our goal is to foster and promote a play-centric learning environment in which the staff serve as support, rather than as rulers. We seek to fill the time spent between school and home with boundless opportunities to create and learn through play.

Initially run out of public parks and libraries, Mariposa Kids has now been in operation for 10 years. Thanks to the tireless dedication of our founders, and generous the contributions of our donors, we are now able to rent our own clubhouse from SF Rec and Park at James Ralph Jr. Playground. The staff and students at Mariposa Kids have transformed this neglected park into a thriving neighborhood hub, putting into action of our ethos of community-mindedness and growth through play.
