Hi Friends!
I am the School Director at Malashock Dance.
Dance has always been more than just movement to me; it's a profound expression of joy, of sorrow, and everything in between, a language of the soul that transcends words. From the moment I first stepped onto the dance floor as a child, I felt an instant connection, and a sense of belonging.
Dance has this incredible power to unite us, to create a community where we can all feel understood and accepted. It's a space where individuality is celebrated, yet we all move together as one, bound by rhythm and shared passion. The joy I find in dance is not just in the steps or the music, but in the connections it fosters and the memories it creates.
For me, dance is a reminder that no matter where life takes us, we can always find a sense of belonging and joy in the simple act of moving.
With your help, we can remove barriers that prevent people in our community from experiencing the power of dance. Your donation will give Malashock Dance the ability to waive fees for low-income students so they can enroll in our dance school; bring free field trips and classes like Math in Motion to local K-12 schools; offer complimentary tickets to our company performances; and provide professional development training for artists.
Help me reach my goal! A donation of any amount would mean so much. Here is the impact you can make:
$1000 can provide a youth dancer with weekly classes for a year.
$500 can provide a pre-professional dancer a week of Summer Dance Institute.
$260 can provide a preschooler with a session of Malashock Minis classes.
$100 can provide a classroom of 3rd graders 1 hour of Math in Motion.
$20 can provide an adult student with a Dance with thisABILITY class.
Thank you for illuminating the power of dance. Learn more about Malashock Dance by visiting our website. Dance belongs to everyone!
