MiaMore Foundation & Testimony Africa.org have created a Home and Social Center for over 200 children in Kampala. We are dedicated to providing a safe haven for 55 resident children, 34 non-resident daily participants and over 100 community children who participate in our weekend and holiday programs.  Some of these children were living on the street, some escaped harsh living conditions at home: survivors of abuse & others, civil war displaced victims.

Our Living Expense Campaign ensures a comfortable and nurturing environment for every orphan in our care. We provide each child with their own bed, complete with essentials like mattresses, bedding, and mosquito nets, basic necessities like toiletries, menstrual hygiene products, and medical care, enabling the children to maintain good hygiene, health, and overall wellbeing.

Rent & Utilities: Monthly House expenses are: Rent $1,000 + $647 for Electricity, Water, Gas, Internet, & Garbage Collection for Home Africa Ewaka. Total of $1,611 p/month.

Food Fund: We provide 3 nutritious meals daily to over 95 children, young adults, volunteers, and team members, with an additional 25-100 youngsters and single mothers visiting our Social Center on weekends and holidays. Your donation of just $1 can feed one person for a day, making a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of these vulnerable individuals. Your support enables us to serve balanced and varied meals that meet their nutritional needs, promoting healthy growth, development, and well-being. Together, we can ensure that no child under our care goes hungry, providing them with the nourishment they need to thrive.

Basic Necessities: toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and lotion, feminine products are essential for the orphans in our care. These fundamental necessities ensure our children's health, comfort, and wellbeing, providing them with the foundation for a happy and healthy childhood.

Menstrual Hygiene Products: 
Period poverty is a pressing issue in Africa, where many girls and women lack access to menstrual products due to poverty and social stigma. This leads to missed school days, health problems, and inadequate access to toilets and handwashing facilities. To address this, we provide feminine hygiene products to the young ladies in our orphanage, enabling them to manage their menstrual cycles with dignity and comfort. By doing so, we help ensure their regular school attendance and overall well-being, while also advocating for increased access to affordable and sustainable menstrual products to combat period poverty.

Medical Fund: Ensuring the health and wellbeing of our children is a top priority. Our Living Expenses Fund includes a dedicated allocation for medical care, covering:
Regular health checkups, Emergency medical care, Medical care kits stocked with essentials like bandages, antiseptic cream, and pain relievers. These funds enable us to provide prompt medical attention when needed, preventing minor issues from escalating into more serious health problems. Your support helps safeguard the health, comfort, and wellbeing of the children in our care.

Living Improvements: Enhancing the quality of life for our children includes
-Regular Maintenance & Repairs: Ensuring our home remains secure, safe, and well-maintained.
-Administration: Managing the day-to-day operations of our children's home includes staff transportation, communication, office expenses, supplies and bank fees
-Salaries for security, our cook, house mother, bookkeeping and administrator
-Upgrading to Energy-efficient appliances: Reducing our environmental footprint and lowering utility costs.
-Replacing or repairing furniture, mattresses and bedding replacements, clothing and -personal item provisions
-Sanitation and hygiene facility maintainance for clean and functional facilities for our children's health and wellbeing.
- Outdoor and recreational space improvements: Creating safe and engaging areas for play, exercise, and socialization.
