Join me in supporting the Vermont Workers’ Center to fight for our human right to healthcare! 

I have been peripherally involved with the workers center since we worked together to pass Act 48. Recently, I become more involved when I was cut off from Medicaid with two weeks notice. We took action and about a dozen of us fought my hearing against the State. Due to our action, I got an additional month and a half of coverage, which allowed me to go on my husband's work coverage. Since then, I have been more actively involved. 

With the passage of Act 48 Vermont was set on the path to a universal public healthcare system. But well-funded powers were determined that this would not come to pass, and they fought back on the financing front. Today we continue organizing to get this law fully implemented. We can’t out-money our opponents, but with your support, we can out organize them! Your support will help…

• Boost our Statewide Summer Organizing Drive to reach and unite Vermonters impacted by the healthcare crisis, collecting petition signatures, and holding pop up health clinics. 

• Mobilize for the national Nonviolent Medicaid Army week of action in September

• Make our demands heard in the 2024 election season
