Help Support Junior League of Columbus

The Junior League of Columbus is an organization built on the pillar of volunteer service to the community. Women in the League are connected to the community, giving their time, talents, and resources to address local needs.

The League sponsors initiatives to benefit the community. League members advocate through the State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues of Georgia. This committee promotes quality education, improved access to healthcare, and protection for all women, children, families, and vulnerable populations. Project Prom provides dresses and accessories for high school students while including education on safe dating. This event has provided over 900 dresses to local students! The Association of Junior Leagues International created Kids in the Kitchen, which is a program that addresses issues of childhood obesity and nutrition. In 2017, the League became an official Diaper Bank through the National Diaper Bank Network. Donated diapers are distributed through community partner agencies and to support disaster relief. The majority of diaper donations are received through the Little Black Dress Initiative. During this week  League members wear the same black clothing to bring awareness to diaper need and poverty in our community. Additionally, educational scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors based on their community service through the Teens Who Care Scholarship. For 30 years, the Junior League of Columbus has been a Partner in Education with Wynnton Arts Academy. Currently, we assist with Thanksgiving meals and holiday gifts for Wynnton families,  as well as support for teachers and their projects throughout the school year, such as field trips, a food bank, and art day.
