Support Environmental Education in Illinois!

Environmental education experiences help shape children's values and understanding of the environment.  Fostering EE in children is critical because it helps them develop into adults who understand and care about environmental stewardship; it nurtures a sense of wonder and imagination; it provides them with a sense of beauty, calm, and refuge; and it helps them understand interrelationships of life.  As a mother of two, it is a priority for me to ensure that my children are environmentally literate, to foster a future generation of informed consumers, workers, and decision makers.

I strongly believe in the value of environmental education.  I urge you to support the mission of Environmental Education Association of Illinois to maintain a vital network that supports and advances environmental education throughout the state.  Your gift will support the efforts of EEAI to provide workshops, conferences, programs, and publications to formal and non-formal educators to increase environmental literacy in Illinois.
