Playmakers and puppy kisses make me happy! -Rachel

I love Playmakers because it allows me to share my love of sports with so many people.

I began volunteering with Long Beach Little League’s Challenger Team in 2017. That team grew and grew, eventually becoming its own nonprofit known as Playmakers, providing baseball, basketball, dance, and boccia.

In the past seven years, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that adaptive sports can have on children and adults with disabilities. Not only do these programs offer athletic opportunities, but they also foster friendships, build confidence, and promote a sense of belonging within our community.
