$500 goal

Over the past few years, we had the pleasure of working with community members who shared their histories for exhibitions such as Represented at Last!, Centro de La Raza, the Workers' Harbor, and A Woman's Place. Papers, oral history interviews, family histories, community newsletters and flyers, funeral obituaries, photographic images, and more are used to share stories of Long Beach's past. Your materials help us tell a more inclusive history. Processing and making these materials findable for Historical Society projects and for public researchers is surprisingly time-consuming and expensive. Please make a contribution today to keep our work going. Visiting the museum is free, and there are always Historical Society team members to greet you. Your support helps to keep it free and inclusive.
