50% of our students are enrolled in the scholarship program. The sliding scale tuition program provides scholarships ranging from 15%-90% to families with income levels up to 400% of the federal poverty level.

The Sliding Scale Tuition Program removes barriers to ensure children have access to affordable high-quality early childhood education. Access to therapy, case management, and support services help mobilize families experiencing financial difficulty to create a foundation for multi-generational change.

“The past few years have been trying and difficult to say the least. The love and support from HWCEC make it possible to keep our little ones healthy and happy. I cannot express the gratitude we have for your amazing facility, extraordinary team and family resources. Thank you for letting us be a part of the HWCEC family. EVERYONE at HWCEC deserves a “You Rock” for being awesome, for always smiling, and for loving and caring for our kids as their own. We appreciate all of you every day!" — A parent

From birth to age five, children’s brains develop more rapidly than at any other time in life. Research has shown that children’s experiences in the early years directly affect how the brain develops, with early experiences demonstrating a long-term impact on children’s cognitive, social, and emotional skills. High-quality ECE holds particular promise for narrowing the achievement gap in the short and longer-terms for children living in under-resourced families and communities.

Bentonville is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country, with several Fortune-500 employers. In spite of these strengths, the community has significant economic needs, including high income inequality. The gap between the wealthy and the disadvantaged continues to increase with over 1 in 4 young children living below the poverty line. Access to high quality early childhood education remains difficult for these families.
