This #GivingTuesday we are raising funds for our veterinary program & to offset medical expenses.

$15,305

raised by 76 people

$15,000 goal

We are raising funds this #GivingTuesday to help cover the cost of lifesaving medical treatments. With over 3,000 animals coming into our care each year, dozens of these animals need extensive medical treatment to save their lives. Others need basic veterinary care such as vaccines, flea/heartworm treatment, deworming, and spay or neuters before they can become adoptable.

Senior pets are amongst some of our most vulnerable pets. Most of our senior pets require additional medical care including bloodwork, specialty diets, and expensive dental work. Each dental starts at about $500 but can be upwards to $3,000 per animal if all of their teeth need to be extracted. These expenses add up quickly and can be overwhelming for our shelter.

Thanks to two very generous donors, each donation made by December 4, 2024, will be matched, up to $6,000! Make your donation go twice as far by donating this Giving Tuesday!

Did you see Mistletoe's story on Facebook today, December 3, 2024? Mistletoe has a face you just want to kiss! This 11 month old female pup came to us as a stray with a broken front leg. She has been under veterinary care and is scheduled to have her leg amputated and to be spayed on Monday. Mistletoe is just one of many pets that make their way to our shelter each year that benefit from your generous donations.

Mistletoe is in need of a foster home that can keep her quiet and away from other pets while she heals from her amputation surgery. We expect her activity restrictions will last about two weeks then she can start to resume light exercise and meeting other household pets.

If you are interested in fostering or potentially adopting Mistletoe, please visit our website to complete the appropriate application.
