I feel fortunate to have played in past Villara Capital Cup tournaments and look forward to doing so again this year; supporting UCP of Sacramento & Northern California. I really enjoy the camaraderie and competition of this well organized and worthwhile event. Doug Bergman, CEO of UCP, has caddied for me the last two years. Besides Doug helping me with numerous golf strategies, we also discussed what UCP means to me.
Individuals with developmental disabilities are some of the nicest people in the world. These individuals, and the ones that care for them, are why UCP exists. Admiring both groups tenacity to nurture and teach one another how to survive and how to live life without limits is the reason I raise money for UCP.
Today, UCP is our area’s largest non-medical provider of services to children and adults with autism and their families. UCP serves 6,658 people a month in an eight county area. Clients current participation is: 57% have autism, 19% Down syndrome & epilepsy, 18% intellectual disability, and 6% cerebral palsy.
Please join me in supporting UCP of Sacramento and Northern California and the wonderful people they serve!
