Pregnant Mom of 13 Left at Cold Scary Shelter!

Sweet, scared Gigi got left at a rural shelter last week looking as if she would have her babies any minute. Imagine - being left in a cold, loud, scary place and put into a kennel to give birth. Already heartbreaking.

On top of it all, the shelter was totally full which could mean she or another dog could be euthanized simply because there was no space for her. 

Thankfully, our work in this community prevents such tragedies time and time again. They call us. Immediately. And we kick into action our many partnerships that result in lifesaving. We got the call. We made a call. They made a call. And within hours, Gigi was picked up and taken to a local boarding place.

48 hours later she gave birth to 13 puppies. 10 of them have lived so far....they are now less than 24 hours old. We lost three because she should have never been pregnant, she did not get the proper care before arriving to us and her little body could only do so much. We now need to fight for Gigi and her 10 living pups.

We desperately need to move this family by next weekend to a foster home. We have an AMAZING Doula Squad who will support you every step of the way. All supplies are provided.
