Cleo is recovering from her surgery. Now the challenge is to keep her quiet for four weeks! Not easy for a Brittany!!
Cleo was an abandoned hunting dog that was found on the island of Lesvos, Greece, on an army facility where they put her in jail. She was rescued from being used as target practice, which is what they do with the dogs that are not rescued.
American Brittany Rescue flew Cleo to the US as part of their International Rescue Program. In Cleo’s first foster home she was terrified by the family cat and while trying to run from the cat, slipped and displaced her hip. Cleo is now being fostered in her second foster home (this one does not have any cats).She is adjusting to her new home but when playing at a dog park she reinjured her hip displacement, this time requiring surgery.
American Brittany Rescue is seeking help with Cleo’s medical expenses, which have been over $5,000.
