ABOUT GEAR LOAN

Accessible music expression is one of the most important things to Girls Rock NC! For this reason, we are excited to be able to loan gear/equipment throughout the year so y'all continue making music, learning, and experimenting.

Our organization works to build power with trans people, non-binary people, girls and women. Gear loan is for anyone with these gender identities.

RENT TO OWN

Some of our gear we are ready to let go of! We now offer a rent-to-own program. Regardless of whether or not your intent was to buy an instrument from us, with rent-to-own, all of your donations towards gear rentals can be credited towards gear purchases.

SLIDING SCALE DONATIONS

Our gear loan program is based on sliding scale donation that is collected seasonally. Donate the sliding scale amount you feel most comfortable with to this Fundraiser seasonally for the duration of your gear loan.

**all necessary 1/4" and XLR" cables can be included with gear at no extra cost**

Below we've included a graphic with more information on how figure out where you could fall on a sliding scale. Please thoughtfully consider your needs, access, and identities when selecting an amount. We want to offer gear (and future programming) to everyone who would like it, regardless of economic status, and your donation helps support that mission.

LOAN SEASONS
Instruments are loaned out for one season (three months) at a time with the option to renew.

SPRING: March 20th - June 20th

SUMMER: June 21st - September 21st

FALL: September 22nd - December 20th

WINTER: December 21st - March 19th

We want the instruments to be in the hands of community members as much as possible, but we may need to recall certain instruments when we start up some of our youth offerings such as Summer Camp and After School, as well as our adult fundraiser Rock Roulette.

These dates to keep in mind are:

WINTER AFTER SCHOOL: January - April (minimum amount of gear needed back)

SUMMER CAMP: July (bulk of gear needed back)

FALL AFTER SCHOOL: October - December (minimum amount of gear needed back)

ROCK ROULETTE: late-January - mid-March (bulk of gear needed back)
