Tahoe Truckee Waldorf Capital Campaign

In December 2019, Friends of Tahoe Truckee Waldorf purchased 40-acres of forested property to support the Waldorf initiatives in the Tahoe Truckee area. FOTTW is a 501c3 created to support Waldorf initiatives in the Tahoe Truckee area including but not limited to the Golden Valley Tahoe School (GVTS) a Waldorf Charter School (GVTS) and, Little Gems Preschool (LG). Two years ago FOTTW was able to secure a public charter thru the Newcastle School district (the same School District that supports Creekside Elementary in Squaw Valley). FOTTW purchased the property looking for adequate space to support the growth of the public charter school and the preschool. Our goal is to open the doors in early September. This campaign is to raise the funds to make that happen. 

Our promise is to ignite ethical thinkers. We do this by encouraging people of all ages to find strength and confidence within themselves, faith in those around them and beauty in the greater world. The fabric of our world is woven by the interactions of nature, families, and communities. We believe that through the exploration of ourselves, the natural world, and action within our local community, we begin to understand the larger world. We believe that by spreading ethical thinking, strength, beauty and faith in the individual, we bring trust, beauty and cooperation to the world. By providing and supporting developmentally appropriate curriculum we strengthen the thinking, feeling and willing of each individual. This will send our community forth with faith in themselves and the deep internal belief that they CAN be the change they want to see in the world.
