Almost There!

Update posted 2 years ago

Wow!  Thank you MKIFP supporters for responding to our campaign with such generosity.  We have nearly reached our goal and could not be more grateful for your enthusiastic outpouring of gifts.  Our Food 4 Wellness program is helping hundreds of local families by not only providing healthy groceries and produce for nutritious meals, but also by offering engaging health and wellness information, providing creative recipes for Pantry items, guiding our guests to available resources to address challenges in their lives, and welcoming them with a smile to our dignified weekly choice pantry.

Imagine the amazing work we could do with the additional grant money we hope to receive once we reach our $6,000 goal and qualify for consideration!

Thank you for supporting our mission and this important program!

Help us reach our goal of $6,000.

We need 600 donations of $10 to meet our goal.
Your donation of $10  (or more!) not only supports
Food 4 Wellness but will help us to qualify for a generous grant of up to $50,000 to enhance and sustain the program.

Our new Food 4 Wellness program embodies a four-pronged approach
to help our neighbors THRIVE and
to address the causes of
FOOD INSECURITY.

1. It begins with access to GOOD FOOD.
We will provide a consistent supply of fresh, healthy, local, & culturally-appealing food.

2.  It is supported by INSPIRING EDUCATION.
Provide bi-lingual video content, cooking demonstrations/ classes, meal plans, recipe cards, and gardening opportunities to our guests who come to our weekly distributions.

3. Along with WELLNESS PROGRAMMING.
Provide opportunities for health screenings, stress management, exercise/fitness and movement that support a positive and healthy lifestyle.

4. Access to COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS to address the challenges that contribute to food insecurity – housing, employment, immigration, child-care, and other vital resources.

WE ONLY HAVE 4 WEEKS TO REACH OUR GOAL!
