Camp Erin is a weekend long camp for children who are grieving the loss of a parent, sibling or significant person in their life. Throughout the weekend, children have the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities. In addition, they spend time together in their bunks sharing stories about their loved ones and learning to grieve and heal with the support of grief guides and bunk counselors.
Camp Erin has been an amazing and emotional journey watching campers transform from scared, withdrawn grieving children to children who realize they are not alone and understand it's ok to feel some joy and even laugh. Witnessing these changes over a short weekend is gratifying to all involved….. particularly for these children and their families.
Please join our Camp Erin team reach more children this summer. We are a non-profit organization and depend on the generosity of friends to cover costs. If you’d like to join us to bowl, please come to our event on April 8th. Otherwise, please consider making a donation of any amount to Camp Erin NYC.
My sincerest thanks to those who have so generously donated and helped our vision become a reality. Together with your support and our compassionate volunteers, we will continue changing the lives of grieving children through this amazing camp experience.
