ROAD TO WORLD DEAF ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
You can help to send a track and field Youth Coach, Erin LaFave to Taipei, Taiwan, by making a financial contribution today.
The USA Deaf Track and Field (USADTF) organization is very excited to announce that we will take part in the prestigious 2024 World Deaf Athletics Championships, which now includes an exciting addition of the Deaf Youth World Athletics Championships, in Taipei on July 12-24, 2024.
We are anticipating an elite team of 30 - 40 athletes from all over the US to come together to compete against top athletes from across the globe.
USADTF is seeking financial support for its national team. Unlike our counterparts (US hearing track & field organizations), we do not receive any financial support from our government or big sponsors that the US Olympic & Paralympic Committees enjoy. We depend on donations from individuals and organizations for funding.
Coach Erin LaFave, a former international athlete, competed for USA track from 2007 through 2013. Erin competed in the 3000 meters steeple chase and 5000 meters at the 2009 Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan and 2013 Deaflympics in Sofia, Bulgaria, winning the silver medal in the Steeple Chase. Her positive attitude and winning approach are pillars of her coaching philosophy. Erin has had a rich experience competing with the world’s best athletes and interacting with people who use different languages that she gladly shares.
Each coach will need to raise funds to cover expenses such as apparel, hotel and meals, fees, insurance, per diem, and supplies, airfare from their hometown and so forth. They need help with fundraising. What YOU can do is DONATE! Dig deep in your pocket and support Coach Erin and her team.
Your generous donation will allow our American athletes to focus on preparing for competition against top-notch international athletes. Again, by donating, you are making traveling to Taipei, Taiwan a reality for Erin and her youth athletes! They CANNOT do it WITHOUT YOUR HELP!
GOOD NEWS! Because USADTF is a 501(c)3 organization, your contribution can be used a tax write-off.
