CAMP FIRE UPDATE - MONDAY 11/26/2018
UPDATE 7:56 a.m. Monday, Nov.26, 2018 - The Camp Fire is fully extinguished.
CAL FIRE is now focusing on cataloging structures in the area affected by the fire, they say that by the end of the week that process should be complete.
Crews are now working on clearing trees, debris, and hazards. They are trying to make burned areas safe for residents to return to as soon as possible. CAL FIRE stated that unless they experience a serious delay, it is possible that areas affected by the Camp Fire will be repopulated in two to three weeks.
Officials continue to search for missing people, using techniques to be as thorough as possible.
There have been 85 confirmed fatalities.
Butte County, CA
The Camp Fire is now over 70,000 acres with less than 10% containment. 47 of our dedicated BCSO staff reside in the Town of Paradise, most of whom have lost their homes, vehicles and all personal belongings. We are asking the community to donate through our partner, The Butte County Sheriff Posse. All donations on this page will go to support our BCSO family. Should you have any questions, please contact Butte County Sheriff Mounted Posse Captain, Tim Colbie at -530-624-4656.
