Durham Bike Co-op has been refurbishing and recycling bicycles, and teaching mechanical skills in Durham since 2007.

We're a 100% volunteer-run organization, and our work relies on donations from the community.

So far in 2023, we:

Restored & gave away 246 youth bikes via our Outreach crew!
Gave away 231 youth helmets & 135 adult helmets
Launched our new mobile clinic & repaired 150 bikes at community events in Durham
Hosted 456 DIY shops & ticket sessions, including 33 TWIG events for people of marginalized genders
Recycled 9 tons of metal
Hosted countless volunteers & partnered with local nonprofits
