Miracles in Motion COVID-19 Relief Campaign

COVID-19 has greatly affected Miracles in Motion.

***If funding continues to diminish we will not survive to be able to continue the program.***

But, with your help, we can continue our mission of supporting the Special Needs Community!

Our dancers LIVE for the days that they get to come to dance class with MIM. It means the world to them! The program has changed their lives, their families lives and all who volunteer with us! 

But, we need your help to continue our mission of supporting the Special Needs Community!

Here is what we are currently facing:

Miracles in Motion is heavily funded through the numerous fundraising efforts that we make throughout the year in addition to chance-gifts bestowed to us in the form of grants and donations from donors like you who believe in and have a heart to support the MIM mission. 

Sadly, two major funding resources are gone. 

Our 2 biggest "in studio" fundraisers have been affected:

• Our spring fundraising performance had to be cancelled and;
• Our annual raffle fundraiser suffered as no one can sell tickets nor can supporters afford to purchase them 

Also, many of the grants that we have applied for have been extended indefinitely due to current uncertainties related to the virus. 

Our staff is still managing the company via various internet services. However, with our funding losses and bills still due, our accounts are diminishing quickly. 

On June 15, 2020,  we had to make the regretful decision to cancel MIM's Summer Camp - a first ever occurrence for MIM.  This has added to our current need as tuition from our summer camps is another financial resource that has, traditionally, helped keep us going administratively through the summer.

***ALL of these events are what catapults us into being able to start off the next dance season in the fall. 

Still, we remain hopeful, and we are very happy to be able to share our need with you, our dear supporters. 

When you give, your funds will be put towards:

• The funding of our tuition assistance program which will help support our families as they endure increasing costs for our student’s needed medical treatments and therapies.
• The funding of studio rent and equipment purposed to provide a safe and comfortable environment while supporting the continued development of our student’s speech, fine and gross motor skills, physical condition, self-confidence, and social abilities.  
• The funding for public performance opportunities focused on raising awareness and improving cultural equity for the special needs community. Our dancers with special needs work hard throughout the year and are eager to show everyone what their abilities are, highlighting to the world who they are beyond view of their disabilities. 
• The funding of responsible marketing programs, promotional materials and other program-building efforts.
• The funding of our annual fundraising recital; a major event for our students. The annual recital provides to our dancers the biggest opportunity of the year to shine on a big stage and show the community what they can do. Costs for this project include building usage, cleaning fees, staffing for lights and sound, performance equipment, promotional material, marketing, concessions, costumes, props, t-shirts, and flowers.  
• The funding of special and unique performance art experiences such as visits from professional guest artists, participation in summer dance camps, attendance at public performing arts events, and other artistic, educational experiences.

*Miracles in Motion is a small, local, non-profit that provides quality dance instruction for people with special needs. We strive to be able to provide our dancers with tuition assistance, community events, and a full recital performance experience. This helps us support our families as they endure increasing costs due to the medical treatments and therapies these dancers typically need throughout their lives. Dance is a beautiful form of therapy and fun for all the participants.
