Raise the Woof!

Adult dogs can experience a tremendous amount of stress in shelters. In addition, they are typically slower to get adopted than younger dogs or puppies. Since they can be with us for months or even years, it is important that we provide the highest quality of life that we can. Beyond meeting their basic needs for food, shelter, medical care, and kindness, the most important things we want to give the adult dogs at our Admissions Center are playgroups, training, enrichment, and lots of time outside!

Almost two years ago we began strategizing and raising money to bring this vision to life. Recently, we have poured a large, T-shaped concrete pad in the yard behind our main building and placed new kennels outside. This has divided the back area into two separate play yards, providing twice as much fun for groups of dogs who get along together!

The next step is to get the kennels covered so that our adults can enjoy more hours in the open air. Please help us along this journey to improving the lives of those who need it so much.
