CMind works with educators who are fervently tackling today’s most pressing challenges--especially issues of social justice, equity and community--with contemplative approaches in (and beyond) the classroom.
In just the last two years:
✔ Over 4000 people have joined our monthly webinars on contemplative education
✔ We convened 685 educators at our conferences, retreats and summer sessions
✔ We awarded 172 grants and awards, recognizing innovative scholarship and increasing equitable access to our events.
CMind’s impact goes even deeper and further than these numbers. Underlying our work is a sincere commitment to serve the international community of compassionate, courageous and innovative people who share our passion for the transformative power of contemplative practice. Together, over the past two decades, we have been developing contemplative pedagogies that bridge introspection, contemplative inquiry, critical thinking and social action.
But today, CMind is facing an $80,000 budget shortfall. Can we count on you to help us close the gap? A gift of any amount helps! Here’s a sense of what it takes to continue offering our support, resources and opportunities:
- $100 lets us print more copies of our popular Tree of Contemplative Practices graphic, spreading the message that practice comes in many forms.
- $250 awards an access grant to the ACMHE Conference.
- $500 helps produce the next issue of The Journal of Contemplative Inquiry, the peer-reviewed journal on contemplative education published by CMind.
- $1,000 supports one monthly, freely-offered webinar.
- $5,000 provides support for facilitators and faculty to lead our events.
- $8,000 allows us to organize a one-day retreat for educators.
We share a passion for transforming higher education to be more sustainable, accessible and full of meaningful learning for our students. We share a commitment to change and healing. Show your support today with a donation to CMind, and we will share the belief that contemplative practices offer innovative and effective paths to a just and compassionate society.
