Climate Money Watchdog is a nonpartisan independent watchdog that investigates and exposes waste, corruption, abuse of power with a focus on government expenditures related to climate change mitigation and environmental remediation. We are in the process of obtaining recognition from the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization under employer identification number (EIN) 88-1141300. While we go through this process, Media Alliance is accepting tax-exempt donations on our behalf.

Media Alliance is a media resource and advocacy center for media workers, non-profit organizations, and social justice activists. One form of this support is fiscal sponsorship, in which the sponsor uses their 501(c)(3) status with the IRS to accept tax-free donations on behalf of the sponsored organization. Contribution Acceptance Policy
Climate Money Watchdog Inc., (CMW) accepts gifts from individuals and institutions that are committed to the principles of democracy, racial justice, inclusion, and equity. We reserve the right to decline gifts and donations from individuals and institutions that advocate viewpoints or engage in activities that contradict these values. CMW does not knowingly accept contributions from for-profit corporations, labor unions, any government, or anyone who stands to benefit financially from our work, in order to preserve our independence. CMW reviews all contributions exceeding $2,000 in order to maintain this standard. CMW accepts employee- and customer-directed contributions and matching funds, and accepts contributions from law firms, which we limit to less than 1% of CMW's operating budget.
