The Spring Green General Store is proud to present ChamberFest, a classical chamber music festival in the heart of the River Valley community. For its third season, ChamberFest will explore the themes representations of nature in classical music with More-Than-Human: Chamber Music Inspired by the Natural World. This 1.5-hour long concert will be preceded by a Children’s Concert featuring The Snail and the Whale, a vibrant story celebrating the Earth, adventure, and friendship.
ChamberFest will take place on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at the Spring Green General Store (137 South Albany Street, Spring Green).
Saturday, July 27th at 11 AM: Children’s Concert. Enjoy a reading of Julia Donaldson’s The Snail and the Whale with a live string trio score featuring works by Scott Joplin, Antonio Vivaldi, and more! This fun and inclusive concert will invite music lovers of all ages to learn more about the instruments, ask questions about the music and featured composers, and enjoy the art of storytelling with a live soundtrack.
Saturday, July 27th at 12 PM: More-Than-Human: Chamber Music Inspired by the Natural World. This 1.5-hour long concert will explore the themes of land, climate, animals, and nature with works by Caroline Shaw, The Danish String Quartet, Heinrich Biber, and more.
In case of rain, ChamberFest will move to the Community Room at the Spring Green Community Library (230 E Monroe St).
All ChamberFest events are free with a $20 suggested donation.
