Benton needs a buddy

Benton needs a buddy!  As Benton's parents, we started to notice differences in his development at a very young age which led us down an incredibly tiring, in-depth and painstaking road in search of answers.  Finally at the age of two, he was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic defect called HNRNPU Related Disorder.  When we say rare, we mean it - there are less than 100 known cases in the world!  HNRNPU causes him to have epilepsy, developmental delays, autism, hypotonia, possible kidney dysfunction, cardiac malformation (which has been surgically repaired) and there are links to certain types of cancer.  Benton currently receives a variety of treatments and therapies to aid in his development and care. Our family is hoping to obtain a service dog that will assist in seizure alerts, socialization, tracking, and elopement assistance.  Our energetic, joyful and loving little buddy would benefit so greatly from a companion buddy to keep me safe while he's on the go! But we cannot do this without your help. We hope that you'll consider donating to what we feel is an incredibly worthy cause - a service dog for our beautiful son.
