The Joe Martin ALS Foundation is a non-profit that works to raise funds for families effected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.   The Joe Martin ALS Foundation's mission is to empower families as they face the challenge of living actively with ALS by providing home care and other services at no cost.  ALS overwhelms families financially and emotionally, however a strong support net can help people with ALS (PALS) and their families obtain the best caregiving techniques, equipment, and bolster their will to fight this disease.  The foundation is the only organization in the Southeast (possibly in the U.S.) that provides these services at no cost to ALS patients.  They are doing incredible work.

Each year, the Joe Martin ALS foundation hosts charity softball rivalry games at a family friendly event.  There will be ballpark concessions, live music, bounce house and games for kids, raffles and silent auctions, and fun for the whole family!

Event Details: Saturday, October 5th, 3:00 - 7:00 PM, Trinity Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC.

This year, I will be playing with the Yankees, against the Red Sox of course!  Each team has a fundraising goal of $12,000.   A family can be supported with weekly free home care for a full year with each $5,000 raised.  Please consider donating to my team and this great cause.
