Camp Wightman: Because of Camp

Here's what our alumni campers and our present camper families have to say. Because of Camp Wightman...

• I had an amazing experience learning to be myself, gaining independence in a safe atmosphere, and met amazing people who became life-long friends.
• I've watched my son's face light up describing his experience just as I did 40 years ago with my father.
• I found a place where I felt close to God and was reminded of God's beauty and grace.
• I found the only place I could really be myself. I knew my friends were there and looked forward to seeing them every year because I knew they loved me for the geeky, clumsy, eccentric person I am. All of my closest adult friends started as Camp Wightman friends. Camp had that kind of mystical way of bringing great people together.
• Every aspect of my life was impacted by enabling me to put into practice being a Christian in the everyday world.
• Our daughter has gained a strong sense of being a confident, independent young woman.
• Our sons come home with great attitudes, having been thinking about spiritual issues, how to be better than they are, and more considerate towards others.
• Our daughter came home very excited about new friends and incredibly, positive experiences. She is very proud of her bead necklace and can't wait to add to it next year!
