Think about all of the things you do in your home besides sleep. You get your morning coffee, grab a snack, get cleaned up, use the bathroom. Your home is where you get your mail, where your charge your phone, and where you find refuge from the world. It is where you find the love and support of your family.

For homeless people in South County, the Gilroy Compassion Center Day Center is where they fulfill a lot of these functions of home.

For only $35/month  (or $400 for the whole year) you can give someone access to food, clothing, bathrooms, laundry facilities, showers, a mailing address, and respite from the streets. You can give them a place to go where they are welcome, and accepted, and where there is someone there to listen and to care. A place to get our of the rain in winter and the heat in summer, and a place to connect with the services that will help them to rebuild their lives.
