For the calendar year 2025, we build upon our successful Anniversary Year in 2024, for which our chosen Theme was “Bridges”. The present Fundraiser creates a Bridge toward 2025, when we celebrate the Theme of "Thresholds", poised in motion or transition.
Our perennial subject: Manuscripts and More. We examine the evidence of written records from across history and across the globe. We bring together perspectives and expertise drawing upon the arts and sciences. Our community includes scholars, teachers, students, collectors, curators, book-lovers, and others. What we seek to do: Study the evidence from both past and present, guided by expertise in many fields, to build bridges toward the future.
Our work embraces a wide variety of subjects, materials, and original sources. Ranging from the antique to Post-Modern worlds, they may include manuscripts, fragments, documents, printed books, seals and seal matrices, maps, music, illustrations, diaries, scraps, curiosities, and more. We open our research, discoveries, and activities to a wider audience, academic, in-between, and other.
