The Youth Academy for the Arts, Inc.  is a local 501 (c) (3) non-profit service organization, dedicated to promoting children’s health, well-being, and artistic success through strong parent, family, and community involvement.

Simply, we leverage dance as platform to keep kids safe and drug free!

How do we serve?  Through dance, education, and mentoring.

DANCE: In our dance programs, we exemplify artistic excellence to the highest standard by nurturing and developing the artistry development of local underprivileged and minority youth. 

Education: Our STEAM programs empower youth to be creative and use critical thinking skills when exposed to the arts.

 Mentoring:  From effective engagement with law enforcement partnerships, high school retention initiatives, anti-bullying advocacy and effective social media communication, our mentoring programs are designed to provide added resources to ensure local minority youth succeed.  

We want to place minority children and adolescents once again at the center of our neighborhood and community life, surrounding by caring adults inside and outside their families.  These connections help youth to develop a sense of security and personal identity, and adapt rules of expectations, values, behavior, morals.  This equips youth with the resources needed to move into healthy and productive adulthood.
