COVID-19's Impact on our Mission

Navigating this pandemic has been a challenge. Our nonprofit partners are experiencing surges in demand, including many first time clients. Now more than ever, our neighbors are making the choice between food and basic hygiene products. Amenity Aid has remained a reliable resource for these organizations. We have answered every request. As a result, compared to this time last year the amount of hygiene products we have donated is up by 60%. 

Despite our additional resources and expenditures, our funding has not increased. In fact because of COVID-19 our main source of funding, our annual event, has been eliminated. This fundraiser was projected to raise $20,000. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and ticket holders who donated their event contribution, we were able to still raise $10,000.  These leaves us with a loss of $10,000 during the most critical time when our services are needed the most. 

While we understand that many Rhode Islanders are facing financial challenges due to COVID-19, many of us are also looking for ways to continue to support our community and keep our state safe. Making a financial contribution to Amenity Aid you will make a direct impact on hygiene in our state during a time when it has never been more important.

That's why we set a goal to raise $5,000 in online contributions to our COVID-19 Relief Fund this summer. If successful, this will be our largest and most successful online campaign to date!
