$1,555

raised by 24 people

Beginning November 18th through Friday, December 13th, SnoSprings School will be collecting canned/boxed food and monetary donations to support Food Lifeline.  A box for each class will be placed at the entry for students to make their food donations each day.  All classes that bring in 200 or more pounds of food (or the equivalent) will earn a special class party.  Please note that monetary donations will be calculated at $1 = 1 pound.

Food Lifeline provides nutritious food to hundreds of thousands of people facing hunger in Western Washington every year. They source millions of pounds of donated food, including fresh produce, from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, grocers, restaurants, and retail locations. Volunteers inspect and repack this food and they distribute through their own programs and in partnership with over 350 food banks, shelters, and meal programs that serve people throughout Western Washington. This efficient system allows them to distribute hundreds of thousands of meals every day to people across the 16-county service area who don’t always have enough to eat.

When you donate, be sure to indicate to which class you want the donation given.
