Since 2012, the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare has not just been a place of employment for me; it has been a source of pride and a testament to what passion, combined with hard work, can achieve in the realm of animal welfare. The mission of the SPCA Albrecht Center resonates deeply with me, and has gifted me with many unforgettable moments of joy, challenge, and heartfelt dedication.

Witnessing the relentless effort it takes to run a successful shelter and rescue organization - the sacrifices, the emotional rollercoasters, and the sheer determination - has been nothing short of inspirational. It's a journey filled with hard truths: keeping the shelter operational, ensuring the pets are fed, healthy, and comfortable, and providing our devoted staff with the resources they need, requires substantial financial support.

As a private, nonprofit entity, the SPCA Albrecht Center relies heavily on the generosity of individuals like you, our community businesses, and the income generated through our Thrift Store and Veterinary Care Center. Unlike government-funded shelters, every dollar we receive is a direct result of the kindness and support of our community.

This year, I'm thrilled to participate in the Shelter Slumber Pawty, an innovative fundraiser that symbolizes our round-the-clock dedication to the animals in our care.
