Sammy asks for your help to finish Big Wave

I just turned 25 years old—which also happens to be how long it’s taken to build Big Wave. And now, I’m so excited to share that I’ll finally be moving into my own apartment this June!

I can’t wait for dance parties, karaoke nights, learning new things, and spending time with my friends. This is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time.

Big Wave isn’t just for the people who will live there—it’s for many others like me. There will be an adult day program where people can learn new skills, and a culinary academy to help people learn to cook and find jobs. I’m really excited for everyone to experience it.

The Big Wave Center is almost finished, but we still need help to complete some important parts—like scholarship apartments for families with financial need, and spaces where we can gather, have events, and keep learning.

This project has only been possible because of the incredible support from friends, family, and the community. And now, we need your help to cross the finish line.
