We are honored to announce our role as the presenting host of the 2nd Annual He Sapa Two-Spirit Wacipi (Black Hills Two-Spirit Pow-wow) at the Monument (Rushmore Hall) in Rapid City, SD on June 29th, 2024.
Uniting Resilience is dedicated to restoring and celebrating the integral role of Two-Spirit relatives within the Native American community. Our mission encompasses creating a space for spiritual, cultural, and artistic expression, fostering celebration and healing within our diverse communities. To advance native two-spirit social and spiritual equality.
During our Powwow, guest will immerse themselves in Native American culture through drumming, dancing, arts and crafts, cultural demonstrations, and traditional celebration ceremonies. Highlights include a Breakfast panel for the elders in the community.
The Two-Spirit Powwow serves as a retreat for Two-Spirit individuals, along with their partners, family, and friends. It provides a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment, aiming to heal from various forms of discrimination and trauma while celebrating heritage and cultural traditions.
To further our commitment to community development, we offer youth programming designed to promote growth, stability, and the importance of a strong identity. Through mentorship, workshops, and cultural activities, we empower young individuals to embrace their heritage and cultivate leadership skills.
