Fundraising for Project Arizona

We are pleased to introduce Muhammad Usman from Pakistan, a remarkable pre-selected candidate for Project Arizona 2024.

Muhammad is a project support officer at the Sustainable Peace and Development Organization (SPADO). He joined South Asia Students For Liberty as a local coordinator in 2023 and organized over 30 events on the free market economy and the principles of free market capitalism. His enthusiasm and dedication earned him the '2023 Newcomer of the Year' award at the South Asia Regional Awards.

He grew up in a socialist society where the concepts of liberty and classical liberalism were largely unattainable. My journey towards liberty was not easy, as I was initially inspired by a Marxist school of thought until 2018 and identified as a socialist. To evade the bias in my ideologies and, being an objective person, think rationally, I have started reading materials to understand ideas of liberty, capitalism, objectivism, liberal economy, etc., as well as to come up with realistic approaches and opt for the best, logical, and pragmatic ideas. With other ancillary goals in mind, the primary purpose of the comparative study was to promote Pakistan as a free and prosperous country. Project Arizona is a great chance for me to become more trained.
