Support our Academy's Tuition Assistance Program

Los Lupeños Academy is our nonprofit's public dance education program. Our four 10-week sessions of in-person dance classes take place at the School of Arts and Culture at the Mexican Heritage Plaza in the heart of the Mayfair district of San José. In spite of the challenges, offering accessible folklórico dance education to the community is an essential part of our nonprofit's mission.

Our community is important to us. Many of our Academy families suffered through loss of income and unanticipated expenses for many months. Some households still need extra help so we offer robust tuition assistance of up to 85% to ensure that nobody is turned away. We do this thanks to the generosity of our donors LIKE YOU!

Dance education is fundamental. You may know that dance education is good fitness for the body but it also builds self-confidence, teamwork, respect, and clear thinking. Our folklórico dance classes tie this into culture, traditions, history, and music. Our students build new bridges to their extended families and to their ethnic origins.

Together we give. Over 20% of our students receive financial assistance, so your help during the last months of the year is essential for the continued success of our program.
