There was not a transport scheduled for ten days. However, our partner shelter took in over 150 animals in just two days in July and all of these animals were about to be euthanized in order to make room for more animals.
The only way to save them was to jump into action. We rented a van out of Kentucky to pick up 5 dogs and 42 cats in order to save them. We paid for vaccines, microchips, spay/neuter, the works. We then had the van drive from Kentucky to New York. The cost of everything was over $7500. We are trying to recoup some of the funds to pay all the bills.
We will still be taking in over 50-60 animals each week, we just wanted to give others a chance to live that wouldn't have make it another weekend. Please help us today!
