Social Life is a community of young adults at Cape Cod Church that is passionate about making a difference in the world, and Amirah Inc. is one of our trusted community partners making that difference. Together we are hiking Mount Monadnock, to represent the challenging uphill journey of recovery women face escaping exploitation. We are committed to taking the steps together to help survivors heal and end human trafficking in our region!
On Saturday, June 24th our team will take a trip to Jaffrey, New Hampshire and summit Mount Monadnock! Our goal is to raise at least $2,000 together; I hope to contribute $100 through 20 donors ($5 each) to represent the power of community support and small acts.
Thank you for donating to our Move and supporting survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in New England.
How does moving for Amirah help end human trafficking?
Human trafficking is an enormous issue that cannot be faced alone. When many people step up and make a move to support survivors, we find strength in numbers.
Did you know that less than 1% of trafficking victims ever escape?
The primary reason is a severe lack of “exit ramps” – opportunities for the exploited to get away from their traffickers. Amirah is that exit ramp! When you support Amirah, you support a woman’s recovery process to regain her life. Soon, that 1% will be a tragic figure from a distant past.
So, let’s get moving!
