The BAWA Ambulance: Bali’s Animal Ambulance and Emergency Rescue Service

* For those of you who are and have been supporting our ambulance program, you may notice that we have relaunched our campaign with a monthly goal. We can’t thank you enough for your life saving donations. It is truly only people like you that enable us to help those animals in need who have no-one else to care for them. Thank you!

Manned by a team of twenty-four-hour responders and fully-trained specialist staff, animals are treated on the streets, beaches, forests, and fields all across the island. Our Emergency Hotline receives over fifty calls daily for sick, injured, neglected, and abandoned dogs and cats afflicted by severe illnesses, extreme injuries, open wounds, broken bones, tumours... You name it.

The BAWA Ambulance is there on the frontline in the fight against animal suffering.

This life-saving service relies solely on funding from kind, compassionate, and giving people like you to continue operating from month to month.

It costs approximately $10,000 each and every month to power this team - from the ambulance itself and the fuel that carries them across the island, to the veterinarians and dog handlers, to the medicine, supplies, and equipment, and the clinical care required for the most serious cases of suffering.
