Help Us Build a Stronger, More Connected

St. Croix Falls

At Festival Theatre, we know that theatre has the power to transform not just individuals—but entire communities. That’s why our Playmakers Arts Education program is open to everyone, no matter your age, background, or experience. Whether it’s your first time on stage or your hundredth, there’s a place for you here.

The cast of 'A Christmas Carol' (2024)

Each year, we produce two Playmakers shows: one with an all-youth cast, and one open to all ages. We also run summer theatre camps where kids build confidence, make friends, and grow as performers and people.

But we can’t do it alone.

'Willy Wonka' (2023)

We’re raising $8,000 to fund show rights and provide scholarships so no child is turned away due to cost. Theatre camp tuition is just $100, but for some families, that’s still a barrier. Your donation during giveBIG helps us say “yes” to every young artist—opening the door to creativity, collaboration, and a sense of belonging.

 Playmakers Summer Camp (2024)

Our commitment to education doesn’t end with youth. Festival Theatre is proud to support the next generation of theatre professionals through our internship program for college students. Interns come from across the country to gain hands-on experience in performance, technical design, administration, and arts leadership. This program provides a vital bridge between academic study and the professional theatre world—helping young artists grow their skills, build their résumés, and launch meaningful careers in the arts.

When people gather to experience live theatre, something extraordinary happens. Hearts sync. Stories inspire. Communities grow closer. Theatre is not a luxury—it’s a vital part of a healthy, connected town. It teaches empathy, builds lifelong skills, and strengthens the bonds that hold us together.

One thing that’s especially meaningful to me is that Festival Theatre is a thriving, professional theatre in a small town. Access to the arts isn’t the same here as in a big city. Many of the kids in our Playmakers programs travel from an hour away just to be part of it. That’s how important this space is. I’m so proud of the work we do and so honored to be part of a staff that supports each other and works diligently to make Festival Theatre better.

'The Spitfire Grill' (2024)

This program—and this place—means a lot to me. If you’re able to make a donation of any size, it would mean the world. Every gift helps us keep the arts alive and accessible for our community.

'Miss Nelson Is Missing' (2024)

Your support doesn’t just keep the lights on. It helps St. Croix Falls thrive. It gives kids a stage to stand on, neighbors a reason to connect, and all of us a reminder that we are stronger together.

Let’s create something powerful. Let’s build a brighter, more inclusive future—one story at a time.
