Light Up Moore County 2021

$20,000 goal
Last year, when schools closed during the pandemic, Megan Rouse had an incredible idea to Light Up National to raise funds to provide lunch and next-day breakfasts for students and their families who were dependent on meals provided at school. This morphed into our entire community lighting up the night with Light Up Moore County!
Because of YOU, the incredible idea hatched by Megan, and the hard-working volunteers with the Junior League of Moore County, we raised over $65,000 to feed hungry tummies. This year, we are asking that you LIGHT UP MOORE COUNTY once again, as these children still need our help.
When: Saturday, October 2nd at dusk
Why: Kids have been greatly impacted by the pandemic--isolation, food insecurity, and challenges in the classroom . The future is uncertain for hundreds of youth experiencing disadvantages, even more so as a result of COVID-19. The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills enables all young people especially, “those who need us the most”, with targeted after school programs, mentoring and even a meal before they leave!
How YOU can help: Donate a minimum of $20. For every $20 donated, you will receive a luminary for display on your front porch/property on Saturday, October 2nd.
Donations to the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills are 100% tax deductible.
