In the 26 years that we have been doing this work, WFO has served as a cornerstone of the economic development landscape in the Bay Area, pivoting and expanding wherever and whenever necessary. That includes adapting after to the incredible world events from 2020 through today. We adjusted to a transformed workforce, and retooled our approach to alleviating poverty and economic inequity in the Bay Area.

Our adaptability is why since 1995, WFO has directly supported over 35,000 diverse Bay Area people in going higher through our programs and services. It is thanks to donors like you that we have been able to help so many people Find a Job, Keep a Job, and Build a Career.

This can be seen in our expansion over the past 4 years:

  • In 2017, we partnered with the then-new-to-California company ThredUp to maximize reuse of gently worn clothing here in the Bay.
  • In 2018, we launched our first Mobile Professional Clinic for Bay Area youth in partnership with John Muir Health.
  • In 2020, we pivoted entirely online with our classes and workshops, offering connection and support to workers experiencing extreme stress and isolation.

None of these milestones could have been reached with out the continued support of our incredible donors, volunteers, and staff.

We invite you to help our clients continue to Go Higher in education, profession, and income by making a tax-deductible donation to Wardrobe for Opportunity (Donate Link here)

Together, we can make the Bay Area a more equitable place where our fellow community members are able to Find A Job, Keep A Job & Build A Career with dignity.

Your donation of $25 will help one low-income community member secure free clothing and image training at WFO.

Your donation of $50 will help one community member attend a free professional branding workshop.

Your donation of $100 will help one community member go through our Navigate program, where we see over 70% of our graduates go on to earn a raise.

Your donation of $1,000 will help an entire classroom of low-income community members go through our programs, after which over 85% of clients say they’ve increased their professional confidence and learned the steps to follow their passions.

The future is bright for all of us. It shines brighter when we are able to support our communities. We thank you for all that you do. We are excited to Go Higher as we plan our programs for the next chapter of WFO’s journey.
