Join Lauren Kircheis on October 21st @ 4 PM in front of the barn at Viles Arboretum (153 Hospital Avenue, Augusta, ME). Lauren will take you in a small group setting on a private guided tour of the Arboretum.
For a donation of $35 or more, you will have reserved a space in this tour. Donations will be split between the Arboretum & MaineShare. Space is limited so donate today!
About the Tour: Viles Arboretum is a free, easily accessible, botanical garden that is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The space includes six miles of trails, several botanical collections, and local art (all marked and signed), on 224 acres.
Lauren will walk you through the major points of interest over the course of one hour. Along the trail, you will learn about their over 20 unique botanical collections, see different ecosystems, likely meet a few critters, and enjoy their nature-inspired art collection.
Leashed dogs are allowed, but PLEASE pick up after your dog! Wear sensible shoes (your feet might get wet) and be prepared to walk about 1 mile.
About Lauren: Lauren is a Unity College graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Biology. She spent a summer conducting wood turtle research in Central Maine and has worked for Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife as an Island Steward. Her passions include painting, bird watching and fishing.
