$6,500 goal

On July 11th, 2024, the McMillen family will once again put rubber to pavement make the journey across the state in memory of our son/ brother Brian and all other fallen officers with IL COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors). It is 4 days of pedaling over 300 miles from Edwardsville, IL to Chicago, IL on to help raise funds for supporting our fellow survivors.

On Oct. 28, 2007, Brian Carl McMillen lost his life in the line of duty as an IL State Trooper. This is when our family was introduced to this amazing organization. COPS provides emotional support to families of fallen police officers throughout the United States by coordinated retreats for the survivors. Parents, siblings, spouses, significant others, and co-workers join together to help each other on their journey to heal from losing the ones they love. COPS Kid’s Camp and Outward Bound is designed specifically for the children of fallen officers and provide great opportunities for them.

Each year, IL COPS has this fundraising bike ride where survivors like us, supporters, and law enforcement professionals come together in friendship, love and support to help raise funds to make these retreats possible.

The friendships and continued support we have received from this organization is priceless. This bike ride is one way we can give back to this great organization so they can continued to help future families.

In order to participate, Team McMillen needs to raise some funds. Please help us in this cause that is so dear to our hearts.
