This year for Giving Tuesday HCN is focused on raising funds to support urgently needed services such as mental health care for homeless children and families in San Francisco.

Did you know? It costs $1.25 for HCN to provide one more minute of therapy for a homeless child in San Francisco.

Help us reach our goal of raising enough funding for 333 hours of mental health & wellness services and please encourage people to give each month to support the ongoing work.

Your donation will help fund programs such as Homeless Children’s Network's Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) and Ma'at Programs. 

These programs are for children, youth, and families who are currently experiencing homelessness, have lived experience with homelessness, are at risk of homelessness, or in generational poverty.  Experiencing homelessness at a young age can cause interfere with academic success and the ability to deal with stress or conflicts.

HCN clinicians use culturally responsive, trauma-informed, community-based approach for enhancing verbalization, promoting coping abilities, encouraging self-expression, and helping children to articulate conflicting emotions. This approach include storytelling, art therapy, play therapy with games or toys, and group play.
