I have been a member of Junior League of Long Beach since 2019.

I have served on various committees and am now on the Board of Directors as the VP of Community.

Since 1931, the Junior League of Long Beach (JLLB) has been the driving force behind the kinds of initiatives and institutions that make our community a healthier, more vital place to live. Throughout its history, JLLB has developed, supported and launched more than 60 projects into the community — making a measurable, positive impact on the welfare of greater Long Beach children and their families.

At the Junior League of Long Beach, we live in the moment. To us, that means adjusting our focus according to our community’s most pressing needs. Our work is always evolving, and that keeps us on our toes, striving for progress, and preparing to take on whatever comes next.

I am proud of the work I have been a part of as a member of JLLB, including 

1. Starting a Say Yes to the Prom Dress event for high schoolers experiencing housing insecurity that is now in its third year and includes everything they need to attend prom + self-esteem programming. 

2. Our Especially Me! Self Esteem events for elementary schoolers which is a day long event we have offered all over LBUSD including on Catalina Island.

3. Our Kids in the Kitchen program which seeks to teach kids about healthy lifestyles.

4. Our California State Public Affairs Committee, which is a non-partisan committee that works with other leagues throughout the state to advocate for and monitor legislation impacting Health, Education, Family Support, Violence Prevention, and Anti-Human Trafficking. 

5. Countless participation in community partnership events such as beach clean-ups, food distributions, school wellness fairs, and more!
