OUR TEENS NEED YOUR HELP NOW
Teens are suffering from anxiety, depression, self-harm and other mental health issues at an alarming rate and with Covid isolation, things are getting worse.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for youth 15-24.
Teens with mental health issues, become adults with mental health issues.
Born from our personal story with our child, we saw first hand how teens sharing their stories of recovery can make a difference.
Teens4TeensHelp is teaming up with A Light of Hope 501 (c) 3 and university research partners to create a series of short videos on mental health topics:
Addiction
Anxiety
Eating disorders
Self-harm
Suicide
And more
The personal stories of teens in recovery are honest and powerful. Our goal is that they provide inspiration, hope and guidance to thousands of teens who are suffering.
Videos for each topic include:
- Teens sharing their personal recovery stories
- Signs and symptoms
- Where to get help
- Treatment options
- Coping tools
- Resources
- Other important topics
The teens who get no help often turn to drugs and alcohol as coping tools, which can become an even bigger societal problem. We can not ignore the mental health crisis this country is facing, and early intervention has proven to be the most powerful tool we have.
Our videos will provide information and resources focused on reducing the isolation and pain that teens feel surrounding these illnesses so they can find help, hope, and healing.
"Encouraging understanding of adolescent mental health through education and anti-stigma programs will change lives." -Child Mind Institute
Our Purpose: To empower teens who are suffering from emotional and mental health issues to choose their own recovery.
Our Vision: To be the platform to help make mental and emotional wellbeing a strategic health education goal, supported across K-12 school systems nationwide.
"Emotional pain is not something that should be hidden away and not spoken about. There is truth in your pain, there is growth in your pain, but only if it is first brought out into the open." Stephen Aitchison
