About the Healing and Justice Center (HJC):
The Healing and Justice Center (HJC) is a community-based public safety program focused on reducing violence, expanding access to mental health services, diverting people from the criminal legal system and activating residents to make change in their own communities.
The Healing and Justice Center is a partnership between the Circle of Brotherhood, Dream Defenders, Dade County Street Response and Touching Miami with Love. We provide a continuum of services through our centralized dispatch system - 1. 866.SAFEMIA. Our services include violence intervention, conflict meditation, a mental health mobile crisis unit, trauma recovery for survivors of violence, counseling and case management, youth programming, “stop the bleed” training and wound care for shooting victims.
